We have confirmation that the Acer Iconia Honeycomb tablet has been rooted! The 1Ghz dual core powerhouse has only been released since a few days and we already have root access thanks to XDA-Developers forum members monki-magic and Chainfire. Root access has been achieved through a modified version of the Gingerbreak App that was covered by us earlier and allowed you to root most Gingerbread based devices. However that app has been modified for the Acer Iconia and it works like a charm. So let’s get on with some good old rooting!
