KG Dogfighting Returns to The Android Market

In April, Dog Wars launched in the Android Market with a lot of expected controversy. It was removed and now it is back as KG Dogfighting, but the developer has promised that a portion of the proceeds will benefit animal rescue organizations.
This new version has been updated with advanced dog training levels, more items to train dogs with, and new guns for trainers to use in shootouts with “F.E.T.A.” — a fictional law enforcement agency.

“The last thing our culture needs is yet another form of profiting from the use and torment of animals,” said Lee Hall, vice president of the animal rights group Friends of Animals.
A developer at Kage Games, who will remain anonymous, said numerous threats were received by him and his team. For now he is going by the name “Pitboss, and he said that he is an animal lover who hopes to bring awareness to the “horrible reality of dog fighting.”
“For those who have questioned our intentions with this app, we have introduced the enforcement agency F.E.T.A. to teach our users there are consequences to dog fighting in real life,” said Pitboss
The developer page in the Android market states the following:
We’ve heard thoughts from many dog and animal lovers about our app and first we, as dog owners and dog lovers ourselves, would like to thank you for your thoughts and for the work many of you do on behalf of our canine friends. We DO NOT CONDONE violence towards animals or humans, and we are confident in humankind’s ability to distinguish between a rudimentary game and the consequences of real life.
We are confident this game will be a net benefit to dogs as it has been in our operating agreement from the start of this project that a portion of the proceeds go to animal rescue organizations. Further, this is a satire about the ridiculousness of dogfighting and we believe in the power of a modern media tool to educate and raise awareness of the real horrors. Another portion of our proceeds are also being appropriated for catastrophic human tragedies, the first of which is the Japan Tsunami relief effort. We encourage everyone to donate to BOTH of these very important causes
